I hope all is well with you and your family during these challenging times. My practice has taken steps to reduce the risks of spreading the coronavirus by using precautionary measures to ensure the safety of my clients. My office is fully compliant with infection control regulations set by the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC), BC Provincial Infection Control Network (PICNet) as well as WorkSafeBC.
The following measures apply to in-person sessions in order to ensure our safety:
BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT:
A text message will be sent with the link to the HealthLinkBC list of COVID-19 symptoms to do your self-check before coming to the office.
If you experience any of the listed symptoms, you will be required to self-isolate and reschedule your appointment to a different date.
Please bring your mask as we're now required to wear it during counselling sessions.
As a professional providing counselling services, I will adhere to the COVID-19 symptoms self-check before each face to face appointment and will only continue my in person services if no symptoms are present.
UPON ARRIVAL TO THE OFFICE:
Please do not arrive early to your appointment as this creates additional waiting room traffic, limiting the ability to keep the required physical distance.
Both the client and I will be required to wear a mask.
The client will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms and possible contact with COVID-19 positive persons upon entering the practice.
Clients showing signs or symptoms of illness, or exposure to COVID-19, will be asked to reschedule their appointment.
Hand sanitizer will be provided upon entrance to be used by the client.
Waiting area chairs will be spaced to allow for 6 feet of distancing.
The client is required to practice physical distancing measures in the office at all times.
There will be no physical contact, like shaking of hands with the client.
You will find hand sanitizer at our entrance and by the counselling chair in the office.
There are no magazines or children's toys in the office due to disinfection difficulties.
Common areas including waiting room and counselling room side tables and chairs will be cleaned and sanitized throughout the day.
AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT:
No credit/debit card payments are handled in the office.
The safety of my clients is my top priority, and I'm committed to ensuring your safety and comfort in receiving psychotherapy in my office.
I'm looking forward to reconnecting with you and providing for your mental health needs. If you have any questions or concerns related to your care after reviewing this information, please contact me directly.
